Dak Lak provincial delegation visits and extends Chol Chnam Thmay New Year greetings in Mondulkiri province

In the festive atmosphere of the Kingdom of Cambodia’s traditional Chol Chnam Thmay New Year, a delegation from Dak Lak Province, led by Mrs. Huynh Thi Chien Hoa, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, paid a working visit and extended New Year greetings to the authorities and people of Mondulkiri Province.

The delegation included leaders of the Provincial People’s Council, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Lak province, the Provincial People’s Committee along with representatives from the Provincial Military Command, relevant departments and agencies.

The delegation was received by Mr. Thang Savun, Member of the Central Committee of the Cambodian People’s Party, Chairman of the Cambodian People’s Party Committee of Mondulkiri Province, Governor of Mondulkiri Province and Mr. Men Nguy, Chairman of Mondulkiri Provincial People’s Council along with leaders of local agencies, units, and armed forces.

In a friendly and warm atmosphere, Mrs. Huynh Thi Chien Hoa extended the best New Year wishes to the Governor, leaders, and people of Mondulkiri Province on the occasion of Chol Chnam Thmay, wishing them a joyful, peaceful, and prosperous new year.

She affirmed that the traditional solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia in general, and between Dak Lak and Mondulkiri in particular, are invaluable assets that should be continuously preserved and strengthened.

Regarding Dak Lak’s development, she noted that following the implementation of the policy on reorganizing administrative units, the province is gradually expanding its development space and effectively leveraging its potential and advantages to promote socio-economic growth. On this occasion, she also informed that Dak Lak plans to host an Investment Promotion Conference in June 2026, and invited Mondulkiri’s leaders and partners to attend and explore cooperation opportunities. She expressed confidence that, with strong commitment from both sides, bilateral relations would continue to develop sustainably and effectively.

For his part, Mr. Thang Savun highlighted the importance of the longstanding traditional friendship between the two countries and provinces, and outlined Mondulkiri’s development orientation, which focuses on promoting agriculture and eco-tourism by leveraging its fertile land, cool climate, natural waterfalls, and indigenous culture, alongside plans to develop high-end resorts to attract more visitors and enhance sustainable economic value. He expressed appreciation for Dak Lak’s support and affirmed continued efforts to deepen cooperation between the two provinces in a more substantive and effective manner.

The delegation visits and presents gifts to the officers and soldiers of Team K51.

Within the framework of the visit, the delegation also paid a visit to Team K51, currently on duty in Cambodia. They extended their regards and encouragement to the officers and soldiers, urging them to overcome challenges and successfully fulfill their assigned missions.
